4 Tips for Restaurants using Online Ordering

At Cervion, we support independent restaurants and bars. We have had the privilege of working with our customers to enable Online Ordering solutions, quickly and effectively, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are four tips for using Online Ordering:

 

1. Offer a Limited Menu

Many restaurants find that offering a limited menu with a curated selection of their most popular items satisfies customers and enables greater operational efficiency.

2. Batch Prep and Pack

As an alternate to their traditional cook to order production, some restaurants are finding  it more efficient to prep and cook in batches, and then pack to order.

3. Offer Family Size Portions & Combos

Many customers are ordering for several people. We are seeing customer interest in both traditional portion sizes as well as larger family size portions or meal combos.

4. Do Something Special

In these challenging times, small efforts  can go a long way. Consider things as simple as baking some cookies to include with each order, or  using $0.50 - $1.00 from each order to send some lunch to your local hospital.
